So DLC owners (or should I say Hoerders) are more likely to get the new Leaders, so I think those are the Target Customers for the new DLCs, and reason why I think the new Leaders could also be from Civilizations available in the Expansions or other DLCs.ĥ) if (1) and (3) are true, then that would mean that we will get a lot of new Assets: Leaders, Units, Infrastructure, maybe some other Content.etc. Question is why would that be? Could it be that the new Leaders would need some Civs from the other Game DLCs (XP or other), so that Firaxis would want the Players to also want and have the chance to get the new DLCs? Bc I doubt that many Players who only have the Base Game and some non-Exp DLCs would want some new Leaders (that are alternatives rather than comming with new Civs) where they didn't even bother to get all the other DLCs. It seems that Firaxis wants as many Players as possible to have the Anthology Collection. fixed.ģ) if (1) is true, and also because "Leader Pass" hints at more than just 4 new Leaders, then it's possible that we might get a lot more Leaders than 4.Ĥ) I noticed that in the last +12 Months, Firaxis had put the Anthology Collection on Sale multiple Times, nearly every 2 Months, definitelly more than the Sales Completed Civ 5 gets. Maybe we will finally get the Monopoly Bug, AI not improving Luxuries, some Diplomacy Bugs.etc. At leaset they should also come with a Scenario (Like an End of Slaves Scenario for Lincoln (maybe something to do with Free Cities and Emergencies as People here are speculating), Anti-Colonization for Ana Nzinga.etc.).Ģ) A new DLC always meant at least 1 Game Patch, so there is hope that we might also get some Bug Fixes and a Balance update. So I doubt the new DLCs will only contain 2 Leaders and cost 5$, I think there is more into it than just that. But how much would a DLC in that case cost? 5$? that's not much for Firaxis to make big Profits out of this, and too much for us Players for a DLC with just 2 Alternative Leaders, since even the DLCs that have 1 Civ and Leader also included Wonders, a Scenario, and some other Content, and cost 4.99$. So the first thought would be that it's only 4 Leaders, 2 in each DLC. Really missed those old NFP speculation Days.Īs what I personnaly think what all of this holds for as:ġ) The Promo Pic shows only 4 Leader Heads, and the DLC Depos we have so far are only 2. New Content is always good! As well as the speculation about what they might be, what the Abilities would look like.etc. Nonetheless, I'm really happy about this. So I never understood why most Players always interpreted that as the "Final Update for the Game" and that the Devs will never revisit Civ VI again. After all, the Devs never claimed to be done with Civ VI, but the NFP. The Leader Pass is currently available as a separate purchase on Steam for $32.95 but you'll need to have all the prior expansions and DLC if you want to ensure you get all the leaders.Īlternatively, if you don't have Civ VI yet, you can purchase the Anthology Edition which includes the base game and all its expansions and DLC.Click to expand.I have to be honest, I never expected any new Content for Civ VI, so this is a big surprise for me, but I did expect 1-2 Patches. The Leader Pass adds a total of 12 new leaders and 6 new personas for existing leaders: With the release of the final three leaders in the Leader Pass today (Elizabeth I, Victoria - Age of Steam and Varanginian Harald Hardrada) this marks the end of further content being added as part of the Civilization VI Leader Pass which was first introduced on the 21st November 2022.
